Kashi Adds Non GMO, Organic

20160612_081132Kashi has added 4 new cereals to it’s healthy cereal lineup and each one is a great breakfast or snack add based on your taste and health needs.  Ingredients are recognizable and kept to a minimum with no artificial flavorings or food colorings.  Cane sugar, honey, dried fruit and brown rice syrup are used to add sweetness and ancient grains permeate a variety of the new offerings.

20160612_083032Kahshi Heart to Heart to Heart, Honey Toasted Oat cereal is your traditional heart healthy rolled oats with a visual reminder in case you forgot its good for you.  It has literally created heart-shaped oats for your every bite.

  • 4 grams of protein for a total of 8 grams when combined with 1/2 cup milk

20160612_085354While Kashi Heart to Heart, Oat Flakes and Blueberry Clusters serves up 1 gram of soluble fiber good for lowering your cholesterol.  While it contains double digits of sugar at 11 grams per serving, much of this is due to the blueberries (natural sugar) and granola (brown sugar.) The berries add a chewy sweetness mixed in with traditional, crispy and lightly sweetened flakes.

20160612_084542Kashi GoLean products boast more protein and fiber per serving.  This combination helps keep you fuller longer and nourish your muscles as many breakfast cereals are protein weak save for the milk. Less you forget they are fiber rich, Kashi named one “Naturally Sweetened Fiber Twigs.” Not a tantalizing description in my opinion as it sounds more like something I’d gather to build a campfire.  However, it is a fun mixture of textures and flavors  with soy protein grahams and honey puffs mixed in amongst the twigs. If they added a little chocolate, I think we could make a smore?

20160612_090221GoLean “Naturally Sweetened Multigrain Cluster” is totally snackable but at 240 calories per servings it’s similar to a package of m&m’s with a bonus of fiber and protein, minus the saturated fat.  The blueberries on the cover are misleading as there’s not a berry in sight but it sure tastes good!

Kashi continues to keep their product lineups fresh, healthy and snackable and these new offerings add NonGMO and organic as well.
